Les twins- Hip Hop International- Paul Mitchell
Professionally known as Les Twins, identical twin brothers Laurent and Larry Bourgeois (born December 6, 1988) are Frenchdancers, choreographers, and models. Often referred to by their respective nicknames, "Lil Beast" and "Ca Blaze", they are recognized internationally for their talents in new style hip-hop dancing.
Born and raised in Sarcelles, France, the self-taught dance duo became the darlings of the French audience in 2008 as finalists on the popular television show Incroyable Talent. They quickly rose to prominence in the United States after a video of their performance on the San Diego leg of the 2010 World of Dance tour went viral on YouTube, surpassing over 25 million views as of September 2014. In 2011 they won the Hip-hop New Style division of the prestigious international street dance competition Juste Debout.
Les Twins have been featured dancers for various music artists, including Beyoncé and Missy Elliott. Standing at 6'4" (193 cm) tall the brothers have modeled for French haute couture fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier and appeared in many high-profile commercial advertising campaigns.
In addition to teaching their original choreography in workshops around the globe, they are also the founding members of the successful dance team Criminalz Crew.

Sehnsucht - Sol León & Paul Lightfoot - Sehnsucht/Schmetterling - NDT 1
Sehnsucht, which cannot be translated but means as much as homesickness or ‘strong desire’, starts in a revolving lounge with a charming, magical duet that keeps surprising. The touching music makes you feel melancholic. Eventually, Beethoven’s music erupts, culminating in a bombastic group dance on the stage.
“A sublime performance (…) the choreography included full-bodied balletic-modern phrases that showed off the company’s impressive technique” THE NEW YORKER

Vertigo 20 | Vertigo Dance Company
Shortly after her graduation from the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem, Noa Wertheim was accepted into the Jerusalem Tamar Dance Company. It was there she met Adi Sha'al whose professional dance experience included both the Bat-Sheva Ensemble and the Kibbutz Dance Workshop. Partners in life and dance, Wertheim and Sha'al founded the Vertigo Dance Company in 1992.
Wertheim and Sha'al's first professional collaboration, a short duet called Vertigo, led to the establishment of their company of the same name. The inspiration came from the first-hand experience Adi had with the sensation of vertigo during his years in training with the air force. Vertigo - the performance - was built upon the concept of spinning out of control, not just in the air, but in relationships as well. Sha'al remarks, "Noa and I created a piece which looks at the loss of direction - the dizziness - in the human duet."
Raúl (baile) - a great maestro of Flamenco dance 1991
The dancer Raúl was born in Madrid in 1959. He performed in various Flamenco shows in Madrid until he formed his own group with whom he gave numerous performances in Spain and America. In the early eighties he formed part of the Tablao at the famous La Venta del Gato; his mastery of the zapateado (tap dance) stood out for amazing technique and good taste.

BOB FOSSE choreography - " The Rich Man's Frug "
The Frug (pronounced "froog") was a dance craze from the 1960s that evolved from another dance of the era, the Chicken. The Chicken, which featured lateral body movements, was used primarily as a change of pace step while doing the Twist. As young dancers grew more tired they would do less work, moving only their hips while standing in place. They then started making up arm movements for the dance, which prompted the birth of the Swim, the Monkey, the Dog, the Watusi, the Mashed Potato, and the Jerk. The Frug is sometimes referred to as the Surf, Big Bea, and the Thunderbird.
A perfect example of a Frug is found in the movie Sweet Charity, which contains a number called "The Rich Man's Frug", a wildly energetic dance number comprising three "movements" ("The Aloof", "The Heavyweight" and "The Big Finish") that showcases director Bob Fosse's distinctive choreography style, particularly his creative use of unusual poses, gestures, and arm movement.

Algorithm Full Work Joe Darby & Kai Downham
A duet made for Instep Dance Company's production in 2011 (www.instepdance.co.uk) initially but then was re-worked and extended for Resolution! platform at The Place in London
The first section began with exploring the 'Algorithm's' of a Rubix Cube and how that idea developed throughout the creative process. Through this process we found a sense of play through rules , almost like a game. We then explored different children's games such as twister, dot to dot, operation and jenga. This would lead to starting points for different sections of the work.
NOWHERE. Dedicated to the memory of Pina Bausch
NOWHERE was created by Dimitris Papaioannou in 2009 to inaugurate the renovated Main Stage of the Greek National Theatre in Athens.
This central scene is dedicated to the memory of PINA BAUSCH.
NOWHERE explores the nature of the theatrical stage itself, a spatial mechanism continually transformed and redefined by the human presence to denote any place, and yet designed to be a non-place. 26 performers measure and mark out the space using their bodies, pitting themselves against its dimensions and technical capabilities in a site-specific performance that can be presented nowhere else.
conceived & directed by Dimitris Papaioannou.

Nichts - Marco Goecke - Programma A - NDT 2
Nichts (2008) is the first work by German Marco Goecke for NDT this season as a associate choreographer. As always, Goecke builds his own dance universe in his characteristic and unique dance language. The result is an eclectic, postmodern choreography presenting many solos, full of unexpected, subsequent movements. Shaking, shivering, fluttering... pure, fascinating madness.

Divide is an abstract work exploring the divide in human interaction in movement, space and time. This is Brew's first full piece with the company in his role of Guest Artistic Director. The UK-based choreographer first worked with AXIS in 2011 when the company enjoyed a huge success with his Full of Words, which went on to become a favorite on the company's tours.

Dancers: Joel Brown, Sonsherée Giles & Sebastian Grubb
Original Score: "Faces" by Sebastian Grubb

It explores these ideas through physical action that plays with timing, speed, focus, and even facial expressions on the dancers.
